We managed to get some decent(ish) video of Danny’s speech/talk stuff this year.
(Please be forewarned that our lovely wholesome Leader does say a couple of naughty words in this video. Not our fault if your children learn something new!)

Elliot sustains a cut to the chin at the end of our skating at the tower of london, after several spectacular falls.
As of not very long after this post, I’ll be heading up to London for the K4 weekend.

To mark the approaching 5th birthday of Join Me, we’re doing a bunch of Charity Auctions on eBay. We’re raising money for ICR, and they are also our chosen charity for the upcoming K4rmageddon Meet.

Just in case anybody hadn’t noticed yet, the forum that was at joinees.org/forum is now closed.
The new forum is at www.JoineeForum.com - all the old posts and user accounts were retained. If you had an account on the old forum, just sign in with the same email address as you used to sign up initially, and the same password.
(if you never used the old forum, just create a new account over at JoineeForum.com as per usual)
For some reason I’m still trying to properly sort out, the forum is now acting fairly broken - posting new messages just won’t work at all, as proven by the total lack of posts since about 5.10pm today. Even I can’t post anything!
If our current webhost don’t un-break whatever it is they’ve broken, they will cease to be our current webhost.

I rather ran out of steam on the “sending photos from my phone” thing, as it takes several minutes to do each one - once we got to Nottingham, the proper events of the day got rather in the way.
Either way, it was great fun.

Well, it appears that Platinum Joinee Whitby was neither kidding nor in any mood to string it out - he’s closed his Joinee.co.uk site, along with the forum there, apparently for good.
I’ve cobbled together a new forum and I’ll continue to refine it while people get used to using it. It can be found at joinees.org/forum.
There will be a big consultation thread about what the rules should be for this new forum - I’d like to get the input of everyone who has something to say on the subject.
At some point I’ll probably re-do this site to be less of a blog and have more useful information in for people who are brand new to Join Me. Until that’s sorted, the Join Me Wiki is probably the best place to go if you’re after some background information.

I suggest you try the 300kbit streaming option - the quality on it is about as good as my original copy of the vid, and it seems to be more reliable than the 700kbit choice.

i am very tired and Danny cant find his written list, so errors likely.
Tony Hodges (right) had done lovely 365 Ways things to his hair.
You come across a sticker on a lamp-post, or spot a note in an empty phonebox:
“For a really nice chat, call 0844 . . .”
Out of sheer curiosity (and as it’s not just someone’s home/mobile number - so it’s clearly not a windup at the expense of someone whose number has been spread maliciously), you give it a ring. Someone answers, in a nice cheery voice; you idly converse for a couple of minutes, they crack a couple of inoffensive jokes - maybe they look up tomorrow’s weather for you (if you ask them to, nicely).
You call back the next day, but you get the answering machine - their outgoing greeting is very outgoing, so you leave them a nice message. The day after, you ring and find yourself talking to a different person to the first time you called, but they’re just as nice.
Apart from some casual tweeking, I now declare this lovely page layout for Joinees.Org to be officially OPEN!
